God the Father

We believe that there is one God. He is the creator of all things, sustainer of things, and through Him and Him alone all things are held together. He is one being, yet distinct in 3 persons, with all 3 persons being fully God at the same time. He and He alone holds all power, all authority, and all dominion. He and He alone is to be served, worshiped, and given honor and praise.

Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, and 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus, being the second person on the Trinity is the Son of God, yet fully God in nature and character. Jesus is the embodiment of God’s fullness wrapped in flesh and sent to earth to die as a ransom for man’s sin. Jesus walked in the fullness and power of God, lived a sinless life on earth, died on a cross for the payment of sin and for the forgiveness of sin, was laid in a tomb for 3 days, and by the power of God, was raised from the grave. He then ascended back to heaven where he is seated on his throne and remains there until he comes again. Jesus is the mediator between man and God, interceding on our behalf as we pray and petition God.

God the Son - Jesus

John 1:1, 2, 14, 18, Luke 1:34-35, and Romans 3:24-26, 8:34

God the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third member of the trinity. Distinct in nature, yet fully God in nature. The Holy Spirit is the part of God that dwells within men and women who have placed their hope and faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The Spirit is given to men as a deposit and guarantee of our salvation and is placed upon our lives as a seal of the King. The Holy Spirit bestows upon believers in Jesus gifts that are unique to each individual and are given for the benefit of the church and the expansion thereof. The Spirit also leads and directs man in the ways of God as The Spirit searches the heart and God and the heart of man, and leads man to walk in a manner worthy of the glory of God.

John 3:3-8, 16:7-11, 1 Corinthians 12:13, John 14:16-17, Ephesians 4:30, 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, and Ephesians 5:18

Man

We believe that God specifically and intentionally created both male and female. Unique in nature and characteristics, yet similar in that they were both created in the image and likeness of God. Male and female God created all persons. Male and female we are born into this world, and male and female we are to remain. We believe God makes no mistakes, therefore the nature, characteristics, and sexuality of each person was specifically given in the womb of the mother who bore them.

Genesis 1:26, 3:1-24, Romans 3:10-18, 5:12, and Ephesians 2:1-3

We believe that God created man in perfect union and relationship with Himself. In doing so, he gave full dominion to man on earth to cultivate and tend to God’s creation which was good and perfect and without fault. God gave man one set of “Do Not’s”, that was not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Satan then came and deceived Eve to eat of the fruit in which God had commanded them not to eat. Eve then gave the fruit to Adam who also partook in the act of sinning against God, therefore, causing a fracture in the relationship with God and man. Because God is perfect and Holy, he will not be in the presence nor tolerate sin and wickedness. Therefore, as man acted on the doubts and deception satan whispered to them, man sinned, and therefore was cast away from the presence of God.

Sin

Genesis 3

We believe and know to be true that, despite mans sin and decision to do what was right and good in their own eyes, God loved man, his children and prized creation, so much, that he came to earth in the person of Jesus, was accused, mocked, beaten, and crucified in our place for what we rightly deserved to happen to us, so that, if any man look upon the work of Jesus on the cross and believes that the work of Jesus is the one and only thing that saves man from their sin that they will be redeemed and set free from the wrath of God and punishment of Sin. It is through Jesus and Jesus alone that salvation is received. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him, shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16). Jesus is THE way, THE truth, and THE life (John 14:6)  and no person is restored to a right relationship with God except through Jesus.

Salvation

Ephesians 2:8-9, 1:7, and John 1:12

Marriage

We believe that marriage is designed and reserved to be had between one natural born male and one natural born female. We believe that the union of marriage is only reserved and blessed by God under these circumstances. Any other form of marriage or co-habitation is outside of God’s design and intention and therefore is not to be condoned. Marriage, between one natural born male and one natural born female is to be a lifelong covenant, where each partner submits first to God, and then to each other in mutual love, sacrifice, and honor.

Genesis 1:27, 2 Corinthians 11:2, Hebrews 13:4, and Revelation 19:7, 21:2, 9:22, 17

The Church

We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ, the active followers of Jesus, are called to come together and worship and serve God together. This is called “The Church”. The meaning is that of a people that assemble and come together to follow God, grow in understanding of God, share in life together as we follow God, and to go forth into all the world to proclaim the Good News of salvation in Jesus so that the world may hear, place their faith in Jesus, and be added to the global church. We do not believe that church is a building or service you attend, but rather that it is a people in which you belong to. The gathering of the church will include coming together into homes, building, and meeting spaces to worship, read and hear the teaching of scripture, prayer, and more, but is to go forth from there into the week and implement that which is discussed and revealed by The Spirit in those times of worship. We believe that The Church is God’s plan to show the world who he is and of the saving faith that is available through Jesus.

Ephesians 4:12, Matthew 28:19-20, and 1 Corinthians 12:12-26

SACRAMENTS

〰️

SACRAMENTS 〰️

We believe in the sacrament and practices of Baptism and The Lord’s Supper (communion)

We believe that baptism is an outward expression of an inward change that has taken place. We believe that when a person surrenders their life to Jesus as their Lord and Savior, that baptism is the next step of obedience in the faith. We do not believe that baptism is what saves or solidifies salvation, however, if a person surrendered to Jesus is able, but by any means necessary, we believe they are to follow through with the act of baptism.
